Show HIGH SCHOOL UPERETTA j The youug folks of the music department of th- local Hidi School ; are doing strenous work these days ; in preparing for the operetta "Pauline" "Paul-ine" to be given in this city and Fairview next week. They expect to give a production that will excel any of the kind ever given here and are perfecting themselves in the various roles to an extent that insures in-sures the fulfillment of that expectation. expect-ation. . The operetta consists of thirty musical numbers, including solos, duets, trios' sextettes and choruses all of which are bright, tuneful and catchy ami certain to please those who may hear them. In addition to the songs there are a number of speaking parts in which some clever humor is brought cut. There is just enough plot to the play to hold it together and give a good excuse for the music, as is the case always in operettas. In short the piece does that for which it is intended , furnishes a mostpleasing ever.-ng's ever.-ng's entertainment, which is at once novel, interesting and amusing. The first producn'on is to be give en at Fairview on Saturday evening of next week. The following Monday Mon-day it is to be given in Mount Pleasant. Pleas-ant. The full cast and a short snop-sis snop-sis of the story told will appear in these columns next week.
