Show Ordinarily Pm not ona to wasU Anything rot last month I threw ftway a naif bushel of peaches and several quarts of cherries. I . Ws went on a toying spree at a country fruit stand, thinking: we'd &t some, can some, and share the Test with our neighbors. Only our neighbors had the same idea that particular week-end and we couldn't give away a single peach. Before I got around to canning them all, they had spoiled! Bill told our sad story to the eouple next door but got no sym- )athy. Instead, is got a look nside their ig new RCA Whirlpool upright up-right freezer neatly laden with country-fresh country-fresh fruits and vegetables. "Honey, come on over here," he called. "Have I made a discovery!"' Well, I've seen a freezer before, but I assumed a wide-eyed expression expres-sion and let Bill tell me all about it. He showed me the five fast-freeze fast-freeze shelves and the gliding baskets bas-kets at the bottom of the cabinet. "And take a look at this door," he urged. "The shelves are adjustable and these gates hold every package pack-age in place." It was I who noticed that the freezer was made by Whirlpool Corporation, the same people who made our automatic washer and dryer. That's all I really needed to know. "Bill," I mused, "I think we really need a freezer like this." And Bill agreed. If I had planned it cunningly and far in advance, I couldn't have done a better job of selling my husband on that freezer. |
