Based on an original idea of Jerry's the story is said to be a perfect vehicle for the unique talent that has made Jerry a top comedian in the entertainment world. Jampacked with humor and heart appeal, as well, "The Delicate Deli-cate Delinquent" has Jerry portraying por-traying a clumsy assistant janitor in a slum-ridden neighborhood. Unwittingly Un-wittingly he becomes involved with the leather-jacket mob who inhabit the area. When Jerry's mistaken for one of the gang, and arrested along with them, the kindly cop on the beat, Darren McGavin, believes Jerry is worth saving from a life of delinquency. Throughout the picture, there's at least one who thinks Jerry does everything right. She's his cute little neighbor, screen newcomer, Mary Webster.
