Show Thursday, October 8, 2009 Obituaries Society The Gunnison Valley Gazette Page 3 40th Birthday Missionary Elder Bret Yardley Ryan Joseph Haleen Ryan Joseph Haleen, 27, beloved father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin, passed away, September 29, 2009 in Tooele, Utah. He was born June 22, 1982 in Gunnison, Utah to Mark and Marianne Haleen. He graduated from Gunnison High School in 2001. He married Tammie Ann Jensen on August 2, 2003 in Centerfield. Ryan loved cars, jeeps and rock crawling. One of his favorite places was Moab. He loved spending time with his little girl and they loved riding in the jeep together. She was his pride and joy. He loved to be with friends and family. He was always helping people with their cars and was always available when someone needed him. Ryan was very loving and had a big heart. He will be missed more than anyone can express. He is survived by his wife, Tammie; his daughter, Haylee; his parents, Mark and Marianne Haleen; his sisters, Candice (Phillip) Pratt, Desiree (Bob) Ryan and Gainel (Brian) Cyr; his brother, Todd Haleen; his grandparents, DelMar and Shirley Higham; his grandmother, Macy Burgin as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Gunnison LDS Stake Center. Friends called at the Gunnison Stake Center on Friday from 6 to 8 and again on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial took place in the Gunnison City Cemetery. Anderson Dec. 12, 1969 - Sept. 24, 2009 Salem AL - Funeral services were held for Deputy James W. Anderson September 29, 2009 in Opelika, AL. Deputy James W. Anderson was killed in the line of duty during a routine traffic stop. He is survived by his wife Corinna; daughter Kelli Anderson; son LCPL Kristopher Anderson; grandson Jason James Anderson; mother and stepfather Susan and Wallace Mulkey of Salem; father Wayne Anderson of Salt Lake City; sister Stephanie Crane of Salina; brother Kurt Anderson of Salt Lake City; stepbrother Elder Bret Yardley just returned home after serving for two years in the Connecticut Hartford Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will be speaking in the Mayfield Ward on Sunday, October 11, 2009, at 9 a.m. Bret is the son of Russell and Cindy Yardley of Christianburg. Lordy, Lordy Look who’s forty! Happy birthday Mom!
