STELLA HILL GVMS Teacher Imagine the following: going over the rainbow, becoming a rich man, living in Gary, Indiana and receiving delicious candy from the Candy Man! These will all come true as you share an evening of musical hits at Gunnison Valley Middle School. The drama department of the school is in need of cordless microphones for performances. Each year, hundreds of dollars are spent renting mics. For this reason, the cast and directors, in conjunction with the JayCees, are sponsoring a spaghetti dinner. The entertainment for the evening will be songs performed by past cast members. Hits from “The Wizard of Oz,” “Annie,” Shaylee Bosshardt Courtesy Photo Some of the cast from the middle school’s production of “The Fiddler on the Roof” from 2006. “The Music Man,” “Aladdin,” “High School Musical,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” and “Willy Wonka” will be included. A sneak preview of music from this year’s musical, “Pirates of Penzance” will be the concluding number. So grab a sunbeam and come with us for a musical, magic carpet ride at GVMS on October 22. The dinner will be Chicken Breast on White with Shredded Cheese Breanna Fredrickson Chicken Breast on White with no cheese served at 6 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults/students and $3 for children. A family pass can be purchased for $25. This will be an event you don’t want to miss.
