Show EP81RASIV1 NEWS NOTES Special to Tho Tribune. EPIIRAfM. July 2. Many relatives and friends were present yesterday at the funeral fu-neral services of Alfred Bailey in the tabernacle. Mr. Bailey hud been In ill health for some time, but It was not until un-til recently that his condition was thought serious. Ho was born In .Birmingham, Eng., February 1S39- He Joined the church In his native land and In company with his parents crossnd the plains In the first handcart company, under Captain Ellsworth. Ells-worth. They located In Ephralm and lived In tho fort during the trouble with the Indians. In the fall of 1SS1 Mr. Bailey left for a two years' mission to Englund. He was city' recorder for many years, also city treasurer, and a member mem-ber of tho city council. A wife and seven grown children survive him. Tho speakers speak-ers at tho funeral were C. C. A. Chrle-tonsen, Chrle-tonsen, Bishop John Bonl, Andrew L. Anderson, An-derson, Henry Beul, Peter Bremholt and David N. Bcal. |
