For tho past flvo years Harry Dcrrlcourt has failed to provide pro-vide his wife with the common necessaries necessa-ries of life, according to a complaint for divorce filed by her with tho county cleric Thursday, The plaintiff, Sarah A. Dcrrlcourt. Dcr-rlcourt. asserts that they wore married January 2S. 1U01, and have ono child 5 years of age. In addition to his failure to provide her with support sho says that her husband has been guilty of habitual ha-bitual drunkenness for some time. The custody of the minor child Is asked for. There has boon a temporary cessation of work at the smelter near the Utah Hot Springs for several days, owing to the lack of ore shipments. In the meantime all of the machinery has been put In first-class condition, and a new furnace Is being Installed. Several carloads of ore aro on tho way and operations will be resumed -In a day or two. Secretary W. E. Macarton of the Salt Lake Automobile club Is In the city In the Interest of the good roads movomcnt. by which It Is proposed to construct a speedway speed-way between this city and the capital.
