A Japanese soldier I ran amuck today through the American Methodist missionary premises at Plng-yang Plng-yang and acsaultcd a Korean caretaker with a bayonet, chasing him through tho missionary residence. 1 American Consul Summons, when Informed In-formed of the affair, called It to the attention at-tention of the Japanese residency and demanded tho punishment of tho soldier. 13y order of Prince Ito. resident general, I the soldier was arrested and Immedlately sontenced to two months hard labor. The colonel, major, captains and lieutenants of tho regiment to which the soldier belonged be-longed will all be disciplined hy a confinement con-finement of from three to seven days. Tho prompt notion of Prince Ito Is significant sig-nificant of the determination of Japanese Insistence that the soldiers maintain a proper attitudo toward foreigners.
