Show New Utah! Timpanogos Messiah Chorus needs singers Festival Timpanogos Orchestra and Chorus will present the second annual Messiah on Saturday, , Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Alpine Tabernacle, 100 E. Main, American Fork. Sing-i- n Lois Stout will conduct. She conducted The Messiah in the Washington D.C. area for 12 seasons. with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society and with the National Chorus director is Lisa Brodie, a professional singer who performed The Messiah instrumentalists, Barbara Johnson, playing Prelude, and Variation by Rossini for F Horn; and Renae Ives, playing Symphonie Espagnole by Lalo on Violin. Barbara, 22, is a senior at BYU, majoring in French horn performance. She has played French horn since the age of eight and has been a member of the Pleasant Grove Orchestra since the age of nine. Renae has studied violin for five years. She is a senior at Pleasant Grove High School and plays in the orchestra there. She was a member of the Utah All-Sta- te Orchestra and has participated in several ensembles at Summer Musicfest. Magnolias Provo Theatre Company, 105 This comedy about an uneducated young woman who is tutored by a suave reporter, and then causes problems for her shady boyfriend will appear at Hale Center Theater in Orem at 7:30 p.m. nightly (except Sundays) through Nov. 21. Trail of Dreams This dramatization of the Mormon pioneer trek will inaugurate the SCERA's 1998-9and their Encore Season new indoor Showhouse as a new place for live theater runs through Nov. 16.
