Show OFFICERS ARE CHOSEN FOR NURSES' SOCIETY Miss -Alma Karlsson was elected president presi-dent of the Utah State Nurses' association associa-tion at the annual meeting yesterday at the Civic Center hall on Regent street. Two sessions were held, the afternoon being devoted to a reading of the by- : laws, revised to coincide with those of the national association; a report of com- 1 mittees, and the adoption of a resolu- 1 tion Lo send a letter of thanks to State Superintendent of Schools Dr. E. G. : Gowans, thanking him for the service 1 rendered by the teachers in the influ- I enza epidemic. ! The evening session was devoted to the ' election of officers for the coming year. Those elected are Miss Alma Karlsson, president; Laura G. Welle, vice president presi-dent ; Mrs. Evan G. Richards, secretary; Miss Mary O'Brien, assistant secretary; Miss D. A. Beeman, treasurer; Mrs. N. F. W. Crossland, chairman of the ways and means committee, and Miss Haael ! Rock, chairman of the press and program committee. |
