Show FRED OLSON IS BLAMELESS OF ACCIDENT Auto of Provo Shoe Man Kills Sandy Youth on State Highway. ) Blinded by the headlights from an approaching auto, Fred Olson, manager of the Buster Brown Shoe store in Provo, Tuesday evening drove his car into Glenn Wllklns of Sandy, who was fatally injured. Wllklns, who was 21 years of -age, died shortly after taken to the office of-fice of Dr. C. C. Jensen of Sandy by Mr. Olson. The accident hapened about a mile and a half south of Sandy on the state highway as Mr. Olson was driving to Salt Lake City. With him was his brother-in-law, Ernest Poulson, manager of the Poulson Paint ond Wall paper eompany of Provo. Turing to the right to avoid striking strik-ing the approaching car, Mr. Olson ran into the Wilkins boy, who apparently ap-parently failed to hear the approaching ap-proaching car from the fact that he was extremely hard of hearing. Following the accident the Provo hien reported the case to the sheriff's sher-iff's office. Coronor C. L. Larson of Handy, who investigated the accident, acci-dent, said that he was satisfied the driver ofj the machine was blameless. |
