Show 400 WOMEN OF UTAH STAKE IN CONFERENCE Utah Stake Relief Society Holds Spring Conference at Fourth Ward Chapel. More than 400 women, active workers in the Relief Society organizations orga-nizations of Utah stake, participated participat-ed in what was declared the most successful and inspiring conference ever held in the stake. The meeting, meet-ing, which was the regular spring conference of the association, was held in the Provo Fourth ward chapel Sunday afternono. - Mrs? Electa Smoot Dixon, president presi-dent of the stake Relief Society organization, or-ganization, presided at the services. Timely and effective instructions as to the duties of Relief Society workers were given by Mrs. Jennie Knight, first counselor in the presidency presi-dency of the general Relief Society of the L. D. S. church. j Mrs. Hat tie T. Snow, president of; the Young Ladies Mutual Improvement Improve-ment association of Utah stake, encouraged en-couraged the mothers to aid the girls ini their church work and especially in their participation of the various activities of the Y. L. M. I. A. She reported the activities of the organization in a splendid condition con-dition and said that the girls are doing exceptional work. Speaking in behalf of the Primary associotion, Mrs. Nellie Robinson, president of that organization in Utah stake, asked for the co-operation of the mothers. She urged the women to send their children to the various ward Primary meetings where they will be given the necessary neces-sary religious instruction while still young. A portion of the meeting was turned over to testimony bearing by the stake and ward workers. A largemumber availed themselves of the opportunity and spoke encouragingly encourag-ingly of the work and of the pleasure pleas-ure they derive from active participation partici-pation in the same. The invocation was offered by Mrs. Martha Keeler and the benediction bene-diction by Mrs. Susie W. Poulton. Beautiful musical selections were rendered by Relief Society choirs from the Provo First, Fifth, and Bonneville wards. |
