Show YOUNG SOCIETY FOLKS UNITED IN MARRIAGE Miss Alice Pierce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Pierce, and Anthony An-thony Willardson. were united in marriage Wednesday, the ceremony being performed at the temple at Manti. Following the ceremony the newlyweds motored to Gunnison and Wednesday evening a wedding supper sup-per and reception was tendered them at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pierce. The guests, which included members of the immediate im-mediate families, close relatives and a few invited friends, numbered thirty-five. The Pierce home was beautifully decorated with pink and white roses, creating a pleasing effect. ef-fect. The supper, which was an elaborate affair, was served at eight o'clock. Following the supper an informal in-formal reception was held and the bride and groom were warmly received. re-ceived. They were also the recipients recipi-ents of many useful and beautiful presents. Mrs. Willardson, the bride, is a na-j na-j tive daughter of Gunnison. She at-1 at-1 tended the high school here for three years, afterwards spending a year in special work at the B. Y. academy at j Provo. She has always been a lead-j I er in the younger social set and is j active in church work. "Tony" Willardson, as he is best known to his many friends, is one of I the valley's progressive farmers. He j j is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Willardson and was born at May-field. May-field. Mr. Willardson owns a valu-, valu-, abls farm at Christenburg and when j the new home is completed, he and his new bride will remove there and 1 reside permanently. The newlyweds have hosts of : friends who will join in wishing them happiness and prosperity on the mat- rimonial journey. |
