Misses L. F. McMonigal and Josie Curtis motored to Richfield and Monroe Mon-roe last week for a visit to friends. Mr. and Mrs. If. S. Uasow spent several days this week at Salt Lake City on a combined business and pleasure trip. Mr. and Mrs. Ray I!. Metcalf motored mo-tored to Provo Tuesday and spent the day with friends. They returned home Tuesday night. Roy Hill, the insurance man, is at home for a brief visit with his family. Roy has been touring southern south-ern towns in the interests of his company. com-pany. Duggins were motor passengers to Salt Lake yesterday morning. They will be at the capitol city several days looking after business matters.. J. LaRue Ogden, resident engineer for the Piute Reservoir and Irrigation Irriga-tion company, was a Gunnison visitor vis-itor fr om Richfield Tuesday evening. He was here in the interests of his compa ny. Judge James W. Cherry and W. I). Candland of Mt. Pleasant spent a few hours in Gunnison yesterday conferring- with friends. They went to Richfield and will spend some time in Sevier county. E. M. Jolley, who has been touring southern towns and villages for some time past, is home for a short visit to his family. Mr. Jolley has become associated with an insurance company com-pany and he reports business good. Joseph Coates, who has been employed em-ployed at Moroni, was here the first of the week on a short visit to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Coates. He has accepted a position on the State road north of Nephi and left for there Tuesday. Ludvig Ekelof, accompanied by his daughter, Miss Aleela Ekelof, left for Salt Lake City today. Miss Adele will go to Shelbourne, Nevada, and will not return until early fall. Mr. Ekelof expects to return home the first of the coming week. Bert Madsen, of the local forces for the C. W. & M. co., in Gunnison, left for Delta last Sunday. He will assist in the office of the company there for two weeks or more during the busy season. Sidney Baxter accompanied ac-companied Mr. Madsen, the former returning Sunday evening. Mrs. J. W. Jones was hostess Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon to a number of friends, complimentary to her mother, moth-er, Mrs. R. H. Winder, wdio is here from Salt Lake City. Progressive Five Hundred was the diversion and the honors, two beautiful flower vas--s were won by Mrs. J. II. Salmon and Mrs. Ray B. Metcalf. At five o'clock delicious refreshments were served to thirty guests.
