Roberts, who was here In the interest of the Seventies. The services commenced Snnday at 10 o'clock a. in. After the usual opening exerckes and a few remarks by President T. G. Jones, the Hishops reported their several wards, and President Morgan Mor-gan Itlcliards, Jr. addressed the rialnts. He spoke upon the subject of sacrifice and its fruits and the necessity neces-sity of tlio Saints attending to their spiritual duties. At Uie afternoon meeting Kldir B. 1L. Roberts gave a brief report of his labors during the tut six years. He then discoursed upon Uie subject of the restoration of the Gospel with all its gifts and powers and the coming com-ing forth of the Bosk of Mormon as a new wltntss. Monday morning at 10 o'clock the general nud local author! ties and list of home missionaries were presented pre-sented and suitalned by unanimous vote. The statistical reports were read. The speakers were President Francis Webster, Lorenzo D. Watson, Wat-son, Thomas Durham, Hans J.Mor-tenicn, J.Mor-tenicn, John I. Jones and Geo. Holyoak, and the subjects discoursed dis-coursed upon were theological training train-ing of Uie youth, observance of Uie Sabbath day, family government and Uie gcniral duties of Uie Saints. At the afternoon meeting Elder May hew H. Dalley, pririciial of the Parowan Stake Academy, reported briefly thu condition of that Institution, Insti-tution, and spoke of Uie responsibilities responsibil-ities and duUes resting upon parents pa-rents in Zlon towards their children, chil-dren, and also Uie responsibilities resUngupon Uiosethat hd received the holy priesthood and that were called to teach an! Instruct the young and rising generation. Elder B. U. Roberts illustrated very beautifully the government of Godupou the earth, and defined tho duties of the different quorums, organizations or-ganizations and ofllccs In thesame, and the course- to be pursued by those who commit sin and iniquity. Brother Thomas J. Jones was thankful for the visit of Elder Roberts, and lor the Instructions given at this conference, and hoped the faints would strive to remember remem-ber and put In practice Uie good counsels given, and thus become more faithful and diligent In serv-j Ing God and in sLrplng his commandments. com-mandments.
