Show Mr. and Mrs. Rube Cunliffe and son and Miss Betty Byrnes were the dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. K. Burnett Tuesday evening. Mrs. Hardy Odell was hostess at a one o'clock bridge luncheon Wednesday afternoon. Guests were Mrs. E. V. Knudsen, Mrs. W. T. Rogers, Mrs. Richard Smith, Mrs. C. C. Colyar, Mrs. Frank Davis, Mrs. J. D. Knudsen, Mrs. Charles Sax, and Mrs. M. C. Colyar. Mrs. J. D. Knudsen won first prize. Mrs. Mike Brisk and Miss El-Inn El-Inn fiamnQnn nttnnrloH thr -mrn "Madame Butterfly" presented at Kingsbury hall in Salt Lake City Saturday. Miss Josephine Jaeobson of Salt Lake City was the week end guest of Mrs. E. V. Knudsen. Dee Christensen entertained entertain-ed his nephew Jack Knudsen, with a dinner and theater party on his birthday, Monday evening. even-ing. Guests included Jack, his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Knudsen, and Delmar Schick. O j Copperton j By Mary linmn Tuesday afternoon the members mem-bers of the Copperton grade school band enjoyed a party in the school auditorium given by Mr. Allen Fifield, the band instructor. in-structor. Games were played and refreshments served. Mrs. Basil Doman won the Boy Scout quilt, which was raffled Tuesday evening at the regular M. I. A. meeting. Dorothy Hansen Han-sen drew the number. The proceeds pro-ceeds of the raffle went toward buying uniforms for the boys. Saturday Mr. Newel Hoffhein chaperoned the patrol to Salt Lake where they purchased the uniforms. Members of the patrol who have the new uniforms are: Robert Goff, Ralph Brown, Blake Gammell, Harlow Fennell, Dick Peterson and Jack Hoffhein. At the conclusion of the regular regu-lar Mutual work, an hour of dancing was indulged in. Music was furnished by Miss Elaine Erickson, accordianist from Bingham. Mrs. Clyde Barnett, who has been living with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sullinger the past, two months, returned to her home in Wyoming Sunday to attend the wedding of her daughter. Mrs. Barnett expects to return to Copperton Cop-perton the latter part of the week. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Knudsen were the dinner guests of Mrs. H. M. Rasmussen at Holladay Tuesday evening. Monday afternoon Mrs. Heber Nichols entertained Mrs. Chas. Sullinger, Mrs. Frank Mead and Mrs. James Denver at a bridge luncheon. Mrs. Sullinger played high. Miss Donna Potts, of Portland, Oregon, spent the forepart of the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Nix. Wednesday Miss Potts went to Oakley in company with Mr. and Mrs. Allan Al-lan Hollstrom to visit relatives. |
