To prepare for games, French likes to visualize that 100 percent effort. I like to picture myself in my mind doing things that I want to do during the game, she says. I make sure that I see myself doing it perfect, so mabye that will rub off during the game. I also like to set goals for myself before the game, things that I would like to accomplish how many points I will score and how many rebounds, how many steals and stuff like that. In addition to playing basketball, French is taking 20 hours of classes, mostly business. She is involved in church activities and still finds time to go to movies and the mountains with her friends. Some of her hobbies include waterskiing, and playing the piano and flute. French plans to graduate from SUSC this spring. She then wants to further her education with a masters degree in physical therapy. With a degree in physical therapy I could work as a sports therapist and stay around sports a little bit longer, French smiles. If I get tired of that I can always get a job at a hospital. 13 |
