Pel haps one of tho most amusing was when nominations weie being made In open meeting for the annul of health A prominent physician phy-sician and an eminent lawyer had been nominated, when Mr. Holland arose and spoke as follows: "Mr Moderator, a doctor and a lawyer law-yer havo beei nominated for this health board, and the only thing to do now to make tho work complete Is to put on nn undertaker, nnd everybody every-body will be satisfied." While tho meeting was roaring over this sail), somebody suggested to Mr. Holland that ho nominate one, which he did, and the meeting elected him, much to the amusement of nil. |
