past” Wardle presented Society President Dorothy Killpack the deed to the property “On behalf of Contel” Wardle said “we would like to present to you the deed for this property and tell you how excited we are as a company to participate in this process and what’s going to take place here in the future” Killpack thanked Contel for the donation “We organized our group a Delta Steam engine has a new home Morrison by Charlotte After several years of wanderings the steam engine from Sawmill Canyon found a home last Friday afternoon Almost as soon as the Great Basin Historical Society acquired the museum preparations building from Contel were underway to move the steam engine there The engine obtained by Lee Howard Clayton Fred Tolbert Waldo Warnick and Don Tippetts Morris several years ago has needed a home for permanent some time now Basin Days the Great During Celebration last May the steam engine came to town and was displayed on Main Street Because of its antique quality the engine has needed to be protected from the weather and vandalism With the space available in the new museum building and the fenced yard for safe display m good weather the old engine came to town to be He was wearing a seatbelt when the accident occured According to investigating officer Dean Shields Utah Highway Patrol eyewitnesses said the lumber truck from the Shemo Lumber Company Hurricane was passing the southbound CRST semi in the lefthand lane when the left wheels of the lumber truck fell into the median Beardall apparently lost control of the truck when the lumber load shifted spilling into the median The truck returned to the roadway on its side striking the semi and tearing a gash in the trailer The semi was carrying a load of floor tile “It was the first time I’ve ever had
