Lake LDS Temple on April 5 1923 He grew up in and attended school Loa Having a pioneer spirit and forward vision he established the first the flour mill creamery operated brought the first telephone and electric power to Wayne County He built three power generation plants and put in the transmission lines before the government established the REA He was a county clerk for many years in Loa He is a veteran of World War I serving with the 145th artillery on the front lines in France He was also in the artillery band He has been active in the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars serving as Utah State Commander in recent years He moved to Payson in 1941 purchasing a farm on West Mountain He was a dairy farmer worked as a mechanic in Salt Lake during World War II and for the Southern in Pacific Railroad Ogden He operated a Real Estate Agency as a broker for the intermountain area He was an active member of the LDS Church serving as Ward Executive Secretary Stake Clerk and in the Stake Presidency He was High Priest President and Group Leader in the Nebo Stake and group instructor He served as an ordinance worker for many years in the Manti and Provo Temples He leaves a
