Show D ed cross n ifa plans gj g progress r boress ro ress appointments of acal local chairmen for annual drive announced organization of the south sevier chapter of the american red cross to conduct the annual roll call beginning november 11 is going forward under direction of the chapter roll call chairman and other officers to date the following persons have been appointed to conduct the roll call in their respective localities mrs airs vern blomquist and mrs moroni jensen richfield first ward mrs airs J vernon erickson and mrs norman AT andreason second ward mrs C R card third ward mrs paul packard fourth ward mrs joseph L asbury mrs airs D B gottfredson mrs airs E H street and mrs airs carvel mattsson richfield business district appointments for other communities will be announced next week officers report interest in the red cross from the standpoint of local service is owing growing there are now established along highway 89 the main highway through this section three red cross first aid stations the south sevier chapter conducted a swimming ana life saving campaign during the past summer by sending hogarth barton and dahl poulson to como springs to take an instructors course and having them in turn conduct a course locally in which swimmers and life savers participated first aid and home hygiene classes were conducted last winter by dr D B gottfredson first aid chairman three families received care from the red cross last winter mrs elise stillman junior red cross chairman conducted a canvass last year and again this fall through the schools relative to home safety problems officers of cf the chapter in addition on to the local roll call chairmen are mrs parley poulson chairman V M fairbanks vice chairman mrs airs joseph L asbury secretary treasurer H E seal horn home service chairman mrs W H home hygiene chai chairman Ms elise stillman junior red cross chairman dr D B gottfredson first aid chairman mrs H E beal roll call chairman with mrs frank pace as assistant in 41 4 1 organizing in richfield and mrs W S greenwood as assistant in organizing other communities |
