I.oris IIVAna, Salt Lake City, July T, Dwi. City Keronlor. NO fllfflUO PAY. Electricity is Life-Me- dical Electricity. BY till. IV. M. HAND, Microscopic and Analytic PhysiciBh and Surgeon, Professor of Anatomy, Physiology, Therapeutics, Theory and Practice of Medicine, Meteria Medica, Obstetrics, Surgery, aud Electrical Science The Great Med-ical Electrician of Ogden City. Utah. HEAD AND REFLECT. It is a mistaken idea to suppose that while all other trades aud professions have been advancing and improving that the practice of medicine has re-mained in statu quo, or at a stand still. There is probably no science in the world wherein greater and more start-ling discoveries have been made than in the healing art. Dr. Hand, by means of his wonderful discoveries with the microscope, lias re-duced the practice of medicine to a science. Tracing all diseases, as he does, to a germ origin, their treatment becomes a simple matter, and enables the doctor to effect cure in cases that have beeu pronounced beyond medical or surgical skill, and iu an incredibly short space of time. The microscopic examinations of specimens enables the doctor to determine accurately and im-mediately the disease with which the pationt is afflicted, after which by means of his art and wonderful anti-septic treatment, hois able to apply the precise remedy indicated, and is not compelled to administer a multitudo of different compounds, hoping some may reach tho case, and iu the end failing, after having administered a largo amount of unnecessary medicines. By means of his now discoveries, Dr. Hand treats with spe-cific remedies the following named di-seases: Every form of throat and ' pi disease, consumptioihath, 'mt hay fever, bronchitis, catartiis cele- - 'ea! deafness, dropsy, goitmnty asylum ma falling sickness' St. "(h1 llis sixtieth ers heart disease in f fr"m foo(,tof con flammatioa of I'"nlJL l!1 womb aud water, amucii wa.j phs ovioma(,n ,nechauicallv org seases of thp hours. '' Dr. Hand is 54 years old, is a gradu- - still after successfully treating hundreds of cases the doctor unhesitatingly de-clares this terrible disease strictly curable without cutting or the loss of blood. His treatment seldom interferes with the patient's ordinary duties and the doctor completely eradicates tho cancerous poison from the blood. HEMORRHOIDS OB PILES. riles permanently cured without sur-gical operation or pain. Simple rem-edy. Fever and ague, sick headache and mountain fever the doctor warrauts to cure every case. EPILEPTIC FITS. Dr. Hand will euro oue case of epi-leptic fits in each and every county in the United Slates, if brought to his otlice, free of charge, and will warrant a cure iu any case with six months' treatment, wherein his written instruc-tions are strictly followed. TAPE WOKMS. Tape worms removed, head intact, within twenty-fou- r hours. CATARRH. Dr. Hand's specific for catarrh cures the worst cases of catarrh, "cold in the head," coryza, catarrhal headache, sore throat and catarrhal deafness. The treatment is mild and agreeable, and based upon scientific principles. Catarrhal diseases are dependent upon some taint in the organism, and it is by eradicating it that the doctor curei catarrh. OBSTETRICS, (MinWIFERY.) Dr. Hand is also a scienced practi-tioner of obstetrics, having attended (as his book shows) over eight hundred ladies In childbirth, with a loss of but seven of that numbr by death having occurred. Ladies, the parturient cham-ber is no place for the novice or char-latan, but of an educated, careful, ju-dicious physician. As an accoucheur Da. Hand cannot be excelled. Dr. Hand makes a specialty of every form of chronic disease known to the medical profession. By the aid of the microscope he can tell you at once the nature of your disease; then if you wish he will deal out to you the proper sci-entific remedies best calculated to cure the same. Iu all cases he will make a l plain statement of facts to tho patieuts, jftuil in all cases he will explain the yyVtire of the disease and the probabil-'"- a cure. It is Dr. Hand's pur-- . , ;o make this city his permanent v , i K aud expects to bo able to "tr:lte to the citizens his claims to H ti favorable consideration. Afflicted 7 al?j, chronically diseased women, why , neglect yourselves and children while tailoring under that malady What comfort or pleasure is wealth to us uuless we ha?e health to eujoy it? Have you lost all confidence in the medical fraternity? The fact of you having been treated .by some old fogy physi-cian, some old woman or quack doctor, without receiving relief; does not give proofof your beiug beyond the reach of icientilic medical skill. There have been great strides made in the healing art and many new scientific remedies discovered within the past few years. This is an ae of science and progress so try again. Go see Dr. Hand, the great specialist. Go now while you may yet be within the reach of scien-tific, medical pr surgical skill; learn the true cause of your sad affliction ; employ treatment at once of the oldest and most successful specialists in the west; learn how easy it is to be cured after cause of the disease has been removed by the use of proper scientific remedies elec-tricity galvanism, magnetism, medi-cal, electrical, water and vapor baths, combined with purely vegetable medi-cines, administered at the right time, where and when indicated. TERMS TO EVERYBODY THE SAME NO CUKE NO PAY. Dr. Hand asks no pay for his services until you are cured. Tatieuts fur-nished with medicines prepared from fresh, pure drugs at cost of same. Also treatment by electricity furnished to patients in all pari of tho United States. All cases taken for treatment will be cured in from three to six months. Positively no incurable cases taken ou any terms. Consultation and microscopical examination free to all who take treatmeut The only money you have to pay in advance is just what the doctor has to pay out for the drugs used in the preparation of the medicin used to cure you. After the doctor has made microscop leal examination he knows at once whether he can cure you or not; alio just what ti ne it will require to effect a cure; also what the medicine will cost to treat your case. And whatever that may be let it be one dollar or twenty the cost of the medicino and elec-tricity is one-thir- d of the whole, the re-maining two-third- s are not due until you are cured, and if a failure should be made to cure the case it never be-comes due and tho doctor is left out in the cold. Dr. Hand is without doubt the greatest living medical electrician upon earth. Five thousand patients treated during the last four years. Dr. Hand cures every case he takes under treatment and will give t",000 cash to the person who will prove by the health office in Cincinnati. Ohio, (his old home), that he ever gave a death report to that office, notwithstanding three years' practice in that city, and eleven hundred cases treated during his last years' residence there. Remember the doctor cures thousands of in-curables, and without a dose of medi-cine. Electricity is the remedy wh.oh is applied bv a graduate in the use of the same. Remember the address and call immediately. Dr. Hand treats every form of chronic disease known to the medical profession, and has for the last twenty-tw- o years suc-cessfully treated all chronio," special and nervous diseases. Dr. Hand does not claim to be the only physician in the United States that understands his business. But he does claim that he understands the treat-ment of the diseases mentioned in this article more thoroughly than the grad-uate family physician, for the simple reason that the doctor has practiced medicine and surgery in nearly every part of the United States, on land and on sea; has lived in all kinds of cli-mates; has treated nearly all national-ities and se&ses aud from his exten-sive traowlSprnctice aud experience, should j' house apable of mastering difficjLid cannofyhronic disease. These diseases, whether they have yet found lodgment in the blood or not, aro wrecking the health of thousands, and promising disaster to their posterity. The doctor's long ex-- 1 perience gives him complete mastery over these diseases, and in all cases he warrants speedy relief and a positive cure. NERVOUS DISEASE. Very few are aware of the dangers which hover over them every moment of their lives when afflicted with this malady. There are thousands who with sunken cheeks, trembling hands, quivering muscles, stooping forms, still indulging iu the same habits which are fruitful in the production of thin terri-ble affliction, though they see their vital energies of life wasting away, still press on in the downward course, seek-- ! fug no aid, as if entirely blind to the awful fate awaiting them, perhaps in the near future. Tho Doctor warns all those suffering from nekvous debility to come and seek relief where long ex-perience and true medical skill can be brought to their aid, promising relief and a speedy restoration to health. DISEASE OF WOME.N There aro thousands of women who have become invalids from disease pe-culiar to their sex, which have been netrlocted through dread of necessary embarrasment, to which they must sub-mit to enable the physican to properly understand th(;ir case. Mothers look ou aud see their lovely daughters wast-ing away, and are filled with fear and wonder. Husbands see their wives in daily torture are filled with dread, or perhaps through ignorance of the nature t of the affliction, they are sometimes led to uucharitablc conclusions, the result of which is domestic imhappiness and ; the neglect of which is truly criminal, and leaves littlo room foj apology. These complaints can readily be cured, i anil the scores of pale, eutervated faces which are stalking about as if in the very shadow of dcaih, can be restored to health, beauty and . happiness 1 he doctor's treatment is pleasant and 'effective and has restored thousands ' who had lost all hopes and given them-selves up a prey to their torturing afflic-tion. DISEASE t THE EVE ASD EAR. There is no greater affliction to which humanity is exposed than the loss of right, whether partial or complete Those who are afflicted with inflamed eves seldom comprehend their danger, ami often through ignorance or the want of proper medical aid become blind when they might have had their evesieht preserved. The doctor treats the eve and ear with great success and wanl'd advise those suffering from par-- ; i or complete blindness or deafness not to delay treatment until all hope is lost. CANCER.
