Show WILLIAM MANHARD DIES OF POISON OF DEAD RATTLE SNAKE (By J. G. Evans) William C. Manhard, commonly called Billie by his friends and associates assoc-iates was born at North Creek, February Feb-ruary 11, 1919 and died at Adamsville Friday morning, July 17 from rattlesnake rattle-snake poison. He must have touched or picked up the snake, which he and his boy friends killed a day before he came ill. Little Billie was only sick eight or ten hours until death took him. He was twelve years old and had many friends. His pleasing appearance and kindness won the liking of everybody with whom he came in contact. Services were held at Adamsville July 19. The Ward Bishopric taking charge. President T. W. Gunn, and R. C. Murdock, also F. T. Gunn were the speakers. Their remarks were consoling con-soling to the family. The singing and music were conducted by Bros. Chase Murdock, Cecil Baker, Kent Morgan and Milo Baker. Billie leaves to mourn him, his mother, Mrs. Mae Manhard, his sister Lelia, age 16 and four brothers, John, 10, Wallace 7, Wesley -5, Dennis 3. Interment was made in the Mountain Moun-tain View Cemetery. |
