Show Antimony Haws By Betty Wiley 624-3215 Kent Willis' LDS Mission Farewell was held on Sunday, Oct. 24. He will enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo on Nov. 3 and will serve in Perth, Australia on his mission. Here visiting on the weekend with his parents, Clarence and Mona Rae Twitchell and to hunt was Robert Twitchell and his son, Lane of Cedar City. Mona Rae Twitchell and son, Leon Twitchell joined Jerry and Shelley Twitchell and all went to Provo shopping on Saturday. LDS Stake President Shannon Allen and wife, Julie, were in Provo where he attended area training train-ing meetings for the Utah South LDS Stake. Judy Fielding's mother and father, fa-ther, the Ed Dosses of Alaska, are here visiting. They have been traveling trav-eling down the East coast and across the southern states, making quite a trip seeing all the beautiful fall colors. The Antimony Elementary School will be having a great fun Spook Alley on Friday, Oct. 29. The Antimony Merc was burglarized bur-glarized on Friday night but the two young men were apprehended that same night. Milton Baker of Safford, Ariz, has been here visiting and riding for cattle with Van Wiley and has returned re-turned to Arizona. He has been a great help. A dear friend of Barbara Gleave, Mary Harris, is in the hospital and we hope she will soon be home. Beverly Hansen was released Sunday from her job in the Antimony Anti-mony LDS Ward with the ward bulletin board. Seven LDS ward members traveled trav-eled to Circleville to practice for LDS Stake Conference where they will sing in the stake choir. Next Saturday, Oct. 30 there will be LDS Stake Conference meetings held in Circleville for the priesthood at 4 p.m. and the auxiliary auxil-iary at 7 p.m. This is for all of Panguitch LDS Stake. Speakers in LDS ' Sacrament meeting were Stake Missionary Joe Dalton and High Council represent tative Kendall Torgerson. Last week the LDS Primary presented their program and the little children did an outstanding job and the presidency and teachers are to be recognized for all their hard work with the children. Visiting with Burns and Mona Black over the weekend was Burn's brother, Noel Black and his daughter daugh-ter from New York. Anna Joan Black McAllister of Kaysville came to drive them down. All had a good visit and Noel is doing much better since his stroke. Creston and Michelle Black and their two boys are vacationing at Disneyland and Sea World and are really excited about the trip. |
