Show Local Voters Head For The Polls On Tuesday, Nov. 2 Garfield County voters will head for the. polls Tuesday, Nov. 2 in this year's municipal elections. Polls in each community open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Escalante will be the only local community to elect a mayor as Marjie Lee Spencer challenges incumbent Lenza Wilson. Voters in Panguitch will vote for or against the issuing of bonds not to exceed $1.75 million to construct a multi-purpose civic and equestrian complex. Also in Panguitch, voters may vote for all three names on the ballot to fill the three vacancies on the council: Janet Oldham, Greg Payne and Rick Swanger. In Escalante, where three council seats are open, voters will select three out of six candidates: Dean Que Gledhill, Howard Miller, Donald C. Mosier, Sherree Coleman Rechsteiner, Daniel John Spencer, and Stanley Stowe. In Tropic, with two seats open, voters may vote for two: Gaya Greenhalgh and LaMar Feltner, both incumbents. Hatch has two seats open on its council. Voters may vote for two among Lewis L. Barney. Kevin O. Eldredge, Lueinda Josie and Mayall H. Sawyer. In Cannonville, where two seats (See ELECTIONS on Page 7 A) ELECTIONS From Front Page are open, voters will choose two of the following four candidates: Kay Louise Dunham, Benjamin F. Mathews, Delondra Nelson, and George Thompson. Boulder has two open council seats with two names on the ballot: Leo J. Gardner and Donna Wilson. Antimony has four people running run-ning for its two council seats: Phil Allen, Casey King, Calvin Gleave and Creston Black. Henrieville had no official signups sign-ups and its ballot carries no names. |
