Show Lund Licks 'Em Trims Cedar City, II to 2 Milford Next Lund, July 25th ; Yesterday, Pioneers' Pion-eers' Day, the newly-organized ball team journeyed to Cedar Uily and annexed an-nexed the scalp of the Cedar team by a score of 1 1 to 2. Batteries; Lund. Potty and Koest; Cedar, Fife, Nelson aud Wilcox, Lund played an errorless game, outclassing Cedar at every point. Petty, for Lund allowed but three hits and fanned 11 men. Fife and Nelson, for Cedar, gave 12 hits. Th Lund "dry-farmers" are mostly Sonth-ern Sonth-ern California buys and appear to have picked up the rudiments of the national game to a considerable extent. With the same team used against Cedar, Lund believes it can give Milford a run for their money, and negotiations are "on" for another try at their neighbors neigh-bors on the north. Milford "boosters" even admit that Lund might "get the bacon." Captain Spurgeon of the Bonneville Lumber Company, is being congratulated congratu-lated on all sides for having assembled such a winning team.
