Show BLACK ROCK By MRS. WALTER JAMES Walter Miller, who has completed com-pleted a year's post-graduate work at the University of Utah, is spending a few days with his father at the Black Rock Ranch. . Mrs. Merrill Miller is spending spend-ing some time in Salt Lake City. Faun Bennett of Fillmore was a recent business caller at the Black Rock Ranch, as were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Nielsen and two young daughters of Richfield. Rich-field. One just does not connect boats and desert sections, however, how-ever, the day prior to the opening open-ing of the fishing season a large car pulling a trailer on which a boat was fastened came in from the west, evidently having I traversed the road that runs due west of Black Rock into Ne- vada by way of Crystal Peak. Only one low summit is encountered en-countered on that piece of road and each year more cars are seen coming and going from the west. One hour and 45 minutes from here to Baker, Nev. No doubt the driver of the car was headed for Fish Lake. Thursday evening Mr: and Mrs. Hampton Burke went to Richfield to attend an Eastern Star meetihg.They had a pleasant pleas-ant time and" enjoyed meeting their many Richfield friends. Walter Miller made a business busi-ness trip to Cedar City the early part of the week. The Burkes, Merrill Miller, and his son Walter spent Sunday Sun-day afternoon at the Byron Hawley Ranch, which is in the mountains south and east of Kanosh. |
