DEATH OF OP A PIONEER Abraham Day Who Came Caine to Utah in 1847 Special Correspondence Mt Pleasant May 2 A telegram was received here yesterday from front Laurence Emery county announcing the death there the day d previous of or Abraham Day an aged resident who for many years was wag known as an honored inhabitant of Mt ML Pleasant Mr Day Da was born in Vermont and was 82 years yeara of age at the time of death He came to Salt Lake In 1847 was a member of the Mormon Monnon battalion and was mus out of service In California He lived Jived in Springville until 1861 when he came to Mt Alt Pleasant where he lived until S1 issi when he went to Castle C Valley He leaves two sons eons here one of whom Jo Joseph Joseph Joseph seph went over yesterday to attend the funeral A daughter and son reside at Fairview and a ton son is in Canada A It little baby child of Burt B rt Jorgenson who Urea lives near Moroni was brought here today for burial The prevailing la in grippe carried the little one off
