A J,.r - by Angie Walker Utah Valley Chiropractic, located lo-cated at 559 West State Street in Pleasant Grove, opened its doors on May 4. With the motto "Heal One Spine at a Time," Dr. Erick Bingham was voted the Best Chiropractor Chi-ropractor in Utah County by a Daily Herald poll. Erick was initially going to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine Medi-cine and Physical Therapy when he realized he could have the best of both worlds with a career in chiropractic care. "It was more of a natural approach to pain management, man-agement, getting people well and healthy," Dr. Bingham said. Dr. Bingham received his undergraduate in Pre-Med. He then attended Palmer College Chiropractic Chi-ropractic in Iowa for four years, graduating in 2002. Following graduation he began practicing with Dr. Dave Free at Timpanogos Chiropractic in P.G. After three years there he then moved to Lin-don Lin-don Family Chiropractic where he practiced for almost six years. Because Be-cause of his love for PG, he took advantage of the opportunity to build here where his business now resides. With the belief the body heals itself if given time, Utah Valley Chiropractic offers adjustments as well as physical therapy. They do decompression for disk herniations, hernia-tions, massage therapy, laser, and homeopathic pain injections for pain management. Dr. Bingham uses a technique called Pettibon, which is a posture restoration program. Pettibon System Sys-tem is a comprehensive rehabilitation rehabilita-tion program for the spine's hard and soft tissues. It uses x-rays for diagnosis, assessing progress, and proof of treatment effectiveness. It tests each patient's ability to respond re-spond to care, and trains patients in home' care for faster correction. "The reason I chose that technique is traditional chiropractic focuses on segmental. Pettibon looks at the global picture.
