Show Valley View Elem. Honors Teachers turing a live reptile show presented by Scales and Tails. There were also small tokens of appreciation apprecia-tion given to the teachers in their mailboxes each morning that included bookmarks, door tags and treat bags made by Room Mom June Rhoades, who also created a bulletin board that parents and students wrote messages on to the teachers. PTA President Cyd-ney Cyd-ney LeMone wanted the teachers and staff to know how much they are appreciated. "The PTA looks forward to Teacher Appreciation Week each year as it gives us an opportunity op-portunity to give back what is given to our students stu-dents on a daily basis," she said. by Cyd LeMone Valley View PTA celebrated cel-ebrated their teachers and staff last week with activities ac-tivities and meals to show their appreciation. The week started on Monday, April 18, with the planting plant-ing of "The Teacher Tree" by the Lisonbee Family. The new Emerald Maple was planted in front of the school in honor of the teachers. Rachel Lisonbee, teacher appreciation coordinator, co-ordinator, planned the events for the week that kicked off with an ice cream social after school on Monday followed by bagels and juice the next morning. On Wednesday the teachers enjoyed chips and salsa during lunch as well as much deserved chair massages from Broadview University. The next morning the PTA served fresh fruit and yogurt to start off the day. During lunch Ca-pelli's Ca-pelli's Institute of Hair, in Pleasant Grove treated the teachers and staff to hand massages and manicures. mani-cures. Even Mr. Gardner and Mr. Stubbs got in on the action and received manicures!
