With the Broncos wide lead in the first quarter, the Braves just couldnt catch up. They didn't go down easily though, and the crowd could feel their intensity. The final score was 42-2- 1 in favor of the San Juan Broncos which ended North Summit's football season. Last Saturday was sunny and warm with the fans ready to cheer. The players had a great warmup and they were ready to play against the undefeated Broncos of San Juan. The game got off to a rocky start when the Broncos got three first downs in a row and put themselves into scoring position. Throughout the first quarter the Broncos scored three touchdowns and made all but one of their extra points. Wheri the Braves finally had their first chance with the hall, they made their way partially down the field due to penalties made by San Juan. The Braves had a great field goal block attempt hut they were unsuccessful at turning things around for the score. The Broncos managed to break through North Summits defense and ran several yards until they were put down by Greg Piercy to end the first quarter. ' The second quarter started out with an interception by the Broncos. Kyle Jones really got in on the action and made several great hits. A great pass from Jake Downard to Darin Wilde made the fans go crazy. A speechless play created by Jake Downard was a pass to Darin and then a quick loh to Andy Carl sen. Andy ran over 50 yards to make North Summit's first touchdown at the game. The Braves tried a different style kickoff with Whitney Batt kicking from the side. That half ended with a great tackle by Kollin Garfield, 358. The second half had a promising start with a tun by Jake Downard for the Braves second touchdown. With only four minutes remaining Landon Judd made a great run and the Braves received two first downs. The third quarter jump started with the first interception of the Braves by Colt Hamilton. Whit Batt ran a first down to put the Braves a little closer to then goal line. A spirit jolting pass by Jake D. was caught by Craig Louder for a third touchdown. The extra point kick was successful. With only 20 seconds remaining, San Juan was the known winner of the afternoon. The Braves are now out of the playoffs but they put up a good fight and everyone is proud of them. A special thanks to all the devoted fans and parents who went to all the games and showed great support 60-yar- d Summit County Bee SANTA DRIVES A OUR CHRISTMAS TOYS ARE J&ZJJQSAVISGS Loving the Lord A Learning hii Word Bible Stady Taagbi by Pastor Alex Laccro $&tn us every everino a 7:00 A. m.
