Show happenings The Summit County Bee 1agc A6 m November 10, 2000 cou Cflward aj&n Ford Bowthorpe declared the gathering an official Eagle Court, commented about the importance of being an Eagle Scout and invited Eagle's Dustin Skeen, Shane Skeen, Blair Brinkerhoff, Corlan Fawcett, Darrell Dearden and Arlin Ovard to form the Eagle Nest. Jace's Dad, Arlin. was the speaker and told of several experiences that helped Jace accomplish this goal. The presentation of the Eagle Award was given by Wade Knudsen; the Eagle Charge by Dustin Skeen and the Stake presentation of an Eagle box was given by William "?t2 1 1 Jace (Hard Mr. and Mrs. Elden Stembridge arewefi issionary lildcn and Nila Stembridge have been called to serve in the California San Battalion Visitor's Center. They will he speaking in Diego Mission-Mormo- n the Icoa Ward at 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 12 and report to the Senior MTC on Nov. 14. Jareweff issionary Cooper L. Mitchell has accepted a call to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints to the Fkirida- - Jacksonville Mission. Cooper will enter the MTC in Provo on Nov. IS. He will be honored at a Missionary Farewell in the Rhodes Valley Ward on Nov. 12 at 12:30 p.m. at the Kamas Utah Stake Center. All family, friends and neighbors are invited to attend. Cooper is the son of Marve and Rhonda Mitchell, and the grandson Jace Ovard, son of Arlin and Carolyn Ovard, of I lenefer. received his Eagle Scout award during a special ceremony with family and friends on Sunday, Nov. S. Conducting the Court of Honor was Wade Knudsen, his Scout Master. The flag ceremony was presented by Troop 920 following a prayer by David Beenfield. Casper. As an Eagle Scout, Jace expressed his thanks and appreciation to his leaders, family and friends for their help and support He thanked Troop 920 for their help with his Eagle project, the lighted flower planter surrounding the three flags at the Hcncfer City Park. He was escorted to, the Eagle's nest by his cousin, Shane Skeen;. Troop 920 retired the flag and the chising prayer was offered by Shane Skeen. Their parents are Bishop Roger and Nancy Fowles and Kevin and April Wells. Many family members and friends gathered on Wednesday, Oct. 25, to see these two young men receive their Arrow of Light Award. The boys worked hard all year long with their parents to achieve this goal. Steve Hayes, a dedicated Scout leader for many years awarded the boys their arrows and welcomed them into his Blazer Troop.
