All of the Huber families had attended the Huber family reunion held at the Payson Park Saturday afternoon, June 28. The Huber family reunion was held by the descendants of Jacob Huber and his wife, Elizabeth Abegg Huber to note the one hundredth year since Jacob and Elizabeth Huber settled in Payson. Fifty descendants were present for the reunion. Bishop Melvin Huber announced that his daughter who had been called to serve on a mission to Peru, South America was at the Mission Home in Salt Lake. From the Mission Home she wiU spend several weeks at the BYU Language Center to learn the language before leaving for 3 The Bake Sale and Rummage Sale sponsored by Mrs. Betty Ann Durrant and Mrs. Judy Crouch held at the Durrant home on Friday and Saturday, May 27 and 28, was quite successful. They would like to thank all those who helped in anyway by contributing articles of any kind and those who made the baked goods which added greatly to the sale. All help was greatly appreciated. They would also appreciate receiving a contribution and it is not to late, from all or any ward member who did not know about the sale in time to help. Members of his mother's family met together to visit with Steven prior to his departure for overseas duty at Vietnam. Included in the group were his grandmother, Mrs. Carter, Spring Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Carter and children and Mr. and Mrs. Merrin Spainhower and family from Pay-so- n; Mr. and Mrs. Mac Carter and children from Provo; Mrs. Kathleen Caras and family from Benjamin; Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Kanpp and children; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dunstan and children from Grants-vil- le and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Carter and Mrs. Carters brother and family who were visiting with her; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Knapp; Peggy Knapp and friend, Marian Elsberry; Marilyn Knapp; Steven Dunstan and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Taylor and family and the host couple. All present enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner. Steven returned to his base on Wednesday and left for Vietnam on Friday June 27. He was born Nov. 7, 1877, in Cardiff, Wales, a son of Richard and Grace Langford Adams. He married Roseltha Pratt on April 10, 1910, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Jan. 25, 1965. Mr. Adams was a retired miner and farmer and had lived in Payson since moving from Eureka in 1929. He was a convert to the LDS Church, coming to Utah in 1903. Kayleen Stickney from Santaquin, to Orem on the Fourth of July where they visited at the home of Kayleens sister for two days. Carl Allen Shell, 63, 680 W. Utah Ave., died Tuesday, July 1, 1969, at the Payson City Hospital of natural causes. He was born July 17, 1905, in Freeport, Kan., a son of WiUiam B. and Mary Newberry Shell. He married Florence Butler on June 25, 1925, in Tooele. Mr. Shell had been employed by the Centenial Development Company for the past 18 years. He was a member of the LDS Church. Surviving are his widow of Payson; one son and two daughters, Carl AUen Shell Jr. and Mrs. LeRoy (Blanche) Heath, both of Payson, and Mrs. Gene (Dorothy) York, Tooele; nine grandchildren, and five sisters and two brothes, Mrs. Hal (Sarah) Rasmussen, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Elmer (Tina) Peterson, Salem; Bidge Shell, Mi. Vernon, Ore., and Mrs. Laura Wise, Mrs. Kate Condie, Mrs. Pete (Zelma) Schmidt and Oliver Shell, all of Payson. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July, 8, 1969 at 1 p.m. in the Nebo LDS Stake Center with Bishop Stanley Riding, Payson Sixth Ward, officiating. (Jean) Park, at Spanish Fork to a dinner birthday party for her son, Ronnie, who was just one year old that day. Ronnies aunt, Emma, made a lovely bunny cake and a cake with one candle on it for him. His other grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Loris Park, who had been on a trip, called to see Ronnie later in the evening. 5 Payson, David Bigler Sr., 79, 2127 N. 1060 W., a former resident of Payson, died Saturday, July 5, 1969, in a Provo resthome of a lingering illness. He was born Feb. 27, 1890, inFruitland, N.M., a son of Charles Edwin and Mary Stevens Bigler. He married Pearl Butterfield on May 24, 1916, They were later divorced. He later married Genevieve Greenhalgh Belliston, in Provo. Mr. Bigler came to Utah at an early age with his parents and received his education in Nephi schools. Ray Huish and sister, Lenora Huish, were very happily surprised when seventeen of their nieces and nephews called in for a short visit with them early Saturday evening. Those visiting at the Huish home were Mr. Lee Huber and three grown sons, Clair Huber and Lee J. Huber, all from Mesa, Ariz.; and Bishop Melvin Huber from Glendale, Ariz.; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Huber, their son, Darrell and . Mr. Trevor James from San Jose, Calif, brought his wife, Clara Ann and ten children to Utah, arriving here on Friday for a visit with relatives. He returned home for work. Clara Ann and children visited at the home of a brother, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Menlove, until Monday when they went to Salt Lake where she visited with her husbands sister.
