Show Still time to get out and cast your ballot By GARY R. BLODGETT There's still time to cast your ballot for the 1987 general Municipal Election and all 1 6 Davis County communities will be involved. Voting polls will be open in each municipality until 8 p.m. and registered voters are urged to get out and cast their ballots. - Remember that you will vote for three candidates among the five or six candidates that are on the ballot. Then, the top three vote-getters will serve four-year terms on the city council, beginning be-ginning next January. Also, there will be a separate ballot for voting on the Davis County public safety complex. This "proposition" asks voters to vote either for or against a proposal that would allow the Davis County Commission to sell general obligation bonds amounting to $18.5 million. If approved, the Commission would sell bonds not to exceed this amount for construction of public buildings suitable for use as a jail, offices, courthouses, and other related facilities needed for the administration of justice and law enforcement activities. To vote in favor of the bond issue, place an X in the square after the words "For Issuance of Bonds." To vote against the issue, place an X in the square after the words "Against the Issuance of Bonds." If the proposition is not approved, the Davis County Commission Commis-sion may or may not use other methods that are available under Utah law to finance the acquisition of property and construction of all or part of the project described in the proposition, it was explained. |
