Show OGDEX ITEMS. A New V enire Issued by Judge Pow ers-Thc Grand Jurors Ml .onI?lormons. OofcEN, November 16, 1885. His Honor Judge O. W. Powers came up from Provo last evening, and had Court, meet this morning in due form. The venire for Grand Jurors having by mistake been made returnable on the 1st of December, it was ordered that it be set aside and a new one issued, made returnable re-turnable forthwith. Mrs. Waymond was admitted as a citizen. The Court announced an-nounced that to-morrow morning he would trv and render a flflfisinn in thn Broom Hotel case, and charge the Grand Jury. Miss Lee, formerly secretary in Receiver Bancroft's office in Salt Lake, was appointed stenographer during the present term. Mr. V. Beirbower, Esq., was duly qualified as Assistant U. S. Attorney, At-torney, and entered on the discharge of his duties. The general impression is that he will , make a vigorous and efficient effi-cient officer. Marshal Ireland came up from Salt Lake this morning. Mr. Arnold, superintendent of the Salt Lake StreetRaihvay Company, was treading tread-ing our muddy streets to-day. The following-named gentlemen, will serve on the Grand Jury for the present term: J. W. McNutt, foreman; L. B. Stevens, S. S. Schram, Geo. C. Griffith, F. A. Sheilds, I. Rubel, C. Hopkins, J. Crandall. S. Peterson. O. G. Hill J s Lewis, C. B. Payson. H. C. Wardleigh, W. M. Chapman, D. Thornburn. All are non-Mormons.
