Show Convulsions After Eating Canned Salmon. Philadelphia, February 12. The wife of Special Officer Eobert Williams oftb.fr American District Telegraph Company ate from a can of trickled salmon Ion Saturday last. Shortly after eating she was taken with convulsions. The physician on arriving arriv-ing at the house learned that Mrs. Williams had bought a can of pickled salmon the night before, and that she and Mrs. MoMul-len MoMul-len ate salmon for supper. Dr. Lopez said the women had been poisoned, and that the salmon was undoubtedly bad when packed. The physician applied remedies and Mrs. McMullen got better, but Mrs. Williams grew worse. Yesterday the women were pronounced out of danger. The grocer from whom the salmon was bought had just purchased pur-chased it from a wholesale house. When he t learned of the poisoning he returned all the salmon to the grocers from whom he purchased pur-chased it. |
