Show Insulted His Queen and Wan Uix. 1 MadbidJ February 25.-The Supreme Council Coun-cil of War confirmed the sentence imposed on Don Enrique De Borbon, Duke of Seville and lieutenaut-oolonel of a regiment of Alburia. ; This placed Don Enrique on the half-pay list- His offense was - the utterance utter-ance of disrespectful and abusive language against the Queen Begent. He attempted to force his way into -the presence of the Queen -&t a time when she had given' orders that she would receive no one but Cardinal Benavides. It was claimed by the offender's friends that ho was under, the. influence of liquor; but he was on military duty at the palace as a guard, and when repulsed from . the Queen's door slandered her. . This subjected sub-jected him to court-martial, and the Borbon family felt the disgrace of the young Duke's, conduct so keenly that they offered: no interference to the course of the military procedure against : their ' relative, who all during the trial was treated as an ordinary officer. ft i |
