Show The Ore-Bearing Belts of Lara. j The ore-bearing belt in the Lava dis- ! trict, Idaho, is about ten miles north and I south, by eight to ten east and west. There are three distinct belts the Honi I Silver, at Era, which is porphyry ; the Antelope, in black lime, shale, slate and porphyry ; and the Lava, which carries considerable gold in porphyry, lime and slate. Some of this ore averaged $26 in gold in an old-fashioned Mexican arastra. These belts are all connected, and the district of about ten miles square will be very lively when its boom shall strike it. |
