Show Haverly's Minstrels. Haverly's famous American-European Minstrels will give three performances at the Walker Opera House, beginning Monday evening, October 26th . On Tuesday Tues-day afternoon they will give a matinee, followed by an evening performance. All cities in which the organization has appeared ap-peared since its return from England are enthusiastic in their praise of this company, com-pany, and judging from the list of people they will come up to all expectations. Special care has been taken by Mr. Ha-verly Ha-verly in arranging the programme, to depart as much as possible from the monotonous rut into which minstrelsy seems to have fallen. Newness and novelty have been his motto in organizing this company, and if reports be true, he has succeeded. The Mastodon song and dance includes twenty-five people, peo-ple, and the fancy drill and clog numbers sixteen. The big' card of the entertainment, entertain-ment, however, is the Cragg - family. These English gymnasts and acrobats have completely revolutionized their art, and thev stand pre-eminent in their line of business. Five in number, they are credited with performing feats of skill of such a difficult nature that they are alleged to be almost indescribable. The company will undoubtedly receive" the generous patronage that it deserves. The box sheet for reserved seats will open tomorrow to-morrow morning. |
