Show I W G T U I I rile Iiitcrotliifr meeting at the ITlcthodlst Church Last Night The meeting of the W C T Union at the Methodist Church last evening was very well attended especially by the ladies The meeting was presided over by Miss C S Burnett President The programme as published was followed I and made a very interesting and instructive instruc-tive entertainment The four addresses read respectively by Mrs Newcomb Opening Address Mrs Froiseth Why the Women of Utah Should Sustain the W C T U Miss E S Dickey The Importance of Early Temperance Temper-ance Teaching and Miss Ella Danforth Social Purity were excellent papers Miss Danforths address was especially well written and well read These papers will probably be published for the benefit of those who were not present The singing of Mr T E Harper Har-per was up to that gentlemans standard and added much to the enjoyment of the evening The two recitations The Monster Foe by Miss E L Knowls and The W C T U by little Miss Elsie Dickert were both well received In about three weeks theUnion will hold another meeting at the Baptist Church I |
