A Bold Break From the Pen John Watren and Walters prisoners confined in the Utah Penitentiary made a bold dash for liberty last evening and Watren succeeded in getting away and is still eluding the guards I seems that Watren and Walters have been working in the field south of the Penitentiary with several other prisoner for some time past and doubtless have been waiting for a chance to get away at the first relaxation relaxa-tion of vigilance by the guards Having j occasion to work at the farther end of the i field from where the guard was stationed i i I the both made a dash for some willows I that line the creek and Walters being the slower runner was distanced by his i companion and was soon recaptured by the officers The escaped prisoner Wat i i ren was serving out a four years sentence I sen-tence for obstructing the Denver Rio Grande Railroad and is a hardened I offender Marshal Ireland has offered a reward of 25 for his capture I I
