| Show V The New County Vaults Through the courtesy of Mr Heber Cutler deputy county clerk a DEMOCRAT reporter was this morning allowed to inspect in-spect the fireproof vaults recently constructed I con-structed for the use of the county recorder recor-der and county clerk This vault is something that was urgently needed and has been very conveniently and substantially sub-stantially constructed It is built on the I east side and adjoining the court house and is two stories in height The walls are two feet in thickness and the vault is one solid structure of stone brick and iron The doors which are double are of the Diebold pattern and are provided with improved locks which however are not designed to be burglar proof The interior of the vault is very conveniently con-veniently arranged and enable all the records of the county court and county recorder to be filed in a systematic manner man-ner The total cost of the vault was 2700 |
