Show Return of an Old Utah Mining Man We were pleased to notice the benign countenance of Captain J C Morrill on j the streets of Zion this morning after an I extended visit to New York and other parts of the East during tho past winter and spring months Captain Morrill is well known here having come to Utah with General Connors regiment in 1862 J and occupied the position of Adjutant at I Camp Douglas for over two years afterwards j after-wards He then went out of the army and up to the time of this visit had j I resided in Little Cottonwood for fifteen vears The Captain is a mining man of considerable experience and it is his I intention to proceed immediately to Alta J and commence operations upon his Gardiner Gar-diner and Morrill mines |
