Show > l l11 j r OCESS OF iitl OLY3IMCS iVciv iainiug1 in I rle eu tJjnumSium fbinin Members and PopularitY I The Olympic Gymnasium Club has partitioned off the northwest corner of I pltioned the pavilion into four fine bath rooms for I the benefit of its members In addition to this required convenience there has I been constructed a large wash room which will be provided with every necessary I nec-essary want A great many of the members mem-bers are now meeting regularly and going go-ing though a thorough practice in all the gymnastics pertaining to such an organization i I organi-zation Already a very respectable showing I show-ing is made by the class in the use of dumb bells clubs gloves horizontal bars I and with other apparatus for exercise One gentleman in particular of a rather I genteman delicate frame measured his arms and and after chest upon entering the club two weeks active and proper exercise he claims to have expanded his breathing breath-ing powers and muscles perceptibly Appropriate suits to be worn during drill are being ordered individually and I within a few months a public exhibition I may be given the friends of the club which will prove entertaining Since the last regular meeting a great many gentlemen leading a sedentary sort of life have expressed a desire to unite with the Olympics and are now active members which goes still further to assure the permanency of this creditable institution All members can be supplied sup-plied with skeleton keys at Spencer I Evans store and visit the quarters at any and all times when a leisure moment I presents itself Among those present the last few afternoons and evenings were I seen many of the business men of the city including doctors lawyers merchants mer-chants and the representatives of the best I circles |
