Show Expert intimacy panel coming to Jenna Neilson Contributing Writer Love isn't the only focus of February The month hosts the well-known well holiday devoted to relationships and another lesser- lesser known holiday that occurs on Feb 14 is Stop the Violence Day a holiday dedicated to stopping violence against women In a study done by the Department of Justice in I 20 percent of violent crimes against women were committed by their romantic partner Because of the link between domestic violence and relationships Erin Gibson University of Utah social studies graduate student and intern at Health and Wellness Clinic decided to organize an expert panel discussion on Sexual Reproductive and Relationship Health This panel of women experts will represent fields including planned parenthood rape recovery and andHIV andHIV andHIV HIV prevention The panel discussion will wiil be an opportunity for students to have their questions answered about intimacy and the different aspects it entails Students are urged to come 15 minutes early to submit their questions anonymously The discussion will then ensue with the panel answering the sub submitted questions as well as inquiries that arise during the event Gibson hopes that this panel discuss discussion on will help students become aware of the various support networks out there for them dedicated to abuse mental and physical health relationships and reproduction The panel discussion is a free event that will be held on Thursday Feb 12 from noon to 2 pm p.m. in the Oak Room of the Student Center at the Taylorsville-Redwood Taylorsville Campus |
