Show 1 Legos St. St Patty's Day just for giggles Ani Arakelian Opinion Editor Are some people looking for a reason to be offended On March 14 The Salt Lake Tribune printed an article about navigating your way around a crowed bar on a busy night such as St. St Patricks Patrick's Day Along with the article was wasa a picture of a bar scene made out of Legos The comical scene showed a crowed Lego bar with Lego men and Lego women a Lego bar tender Lego drinks a sick Lego man leaning over the Lego toilet and a Lego couple in a dark corner In the days fallowing the article the Salt Lake tribune got many letters complaining about the article There were complaints about the use of childrens children's toys about how the article was placed on the front page of The Mix section of the paper and there even some completes about disrespecting numerous religions The article was intended for adult and to be funny The Legos that were used were many years old They were they type of Legos that adult would have played with when they were children Children were not meant to read It was advice about getting around a bar You have to be years old or older to go in to a bar It was on the front page of The Mix section because of the upcoming holiday Many people go to bar on St. St Patricks Patrick's Day The article was not about religion and it was not meant to disrespect anyone's beliefs Why where so many people mad cant they take a joke Do people have to watch what they say or do in case it offends someone People should respect each other yes but this was just a humors illustration It was not meant the hurt anyone No one group was singled out It was not disrespecting anyone expect maybe drunks But they were not the one to complain Too many people made a big deal out of nothing Get over it |
