Show Parking Capacity Reached at College By Kristy ty Jones Contributing Writer has reached its parking capacity according to Brent Goodfellow executive dean Tension is rising because of students enrolled this quarter only 7 to 10 percent are using the bus Many others are parking legally in the streets staff parking lots and anywhere available Goodfellow realizes there is a serious problem with the parking on campus As the college has grown we have tried to assess the number of parking stalls available For each new building that is completed one new parking lot is added Ted Soffe a student says Tickets are being issued to students for circumstances ir beyond their c con corp n If we can not find a place to park and we need to be to class we weare weare weare are going to park wherever we can However this year has reached its full capacity There is no more room for expansion Plans have been submitted to correct this problem A few include shuttles parking terraces and expansion All are expensive and would increase the cost of parking passes Instead the college has plans to build a new campus One hundred- hundred fourteen acres of land in West Jordan have been purchased to expand the college The Legislature has awarded one million dollars dollars dollars dol dol- lars to design a new building for this si site te |
