| Show The Trauma Of A Haircut By Chris Hill If a person has ever had a bad haircut they will be able to understand understand understand tand what I went through last week For the past two months I have went with my hair hanging in my eyes because fear of the unknown and the lack of funds Since I am a student I dont don't have an extra ten bucks to run out and get my hair cut at some high fashion salon Sometimes going to one of those places can be an experience when your beautician gets that scissor happy look in her eye I had heard many excellent reports about Salt Lake Community ty Colleges College's Cosmetology Depart Depart- ment But I have had my share of bad experiences with beauty colleges colleges colleges col col- col- col leges and had Dad vowed to never turn my hair over to one again One morning after many frustrating attempts with the curling iron and hot rollers I l decided that something had to be done I looked looked looked look look- ed in my wallet and all I had was enough money for gas for my car for the week and a few dollars left over Then I decided What the heck why not live a little dangerously I went in and made madean an appointment fo for the next day I remember walking down the hall to my appointment the smell of permanent solution drifting in inthe inthe inthe the air reminding me of the smell of alcohol at the doctors office My stomach tied in knots at the recollection recollection recollection lection of the previous nights night's nightmare In this nightmare scissors were chasing me through the halls of the college and when they got me cornered I woke up I Iwas Iwas Iwas was not looking forward to living the end of my nightmare I almost let fear get the best of me tu turning ning and running like a coward Then it was my turn to pay the receptionist and take my towel Swallowing hard I 1 handed her hermy hermy hermy my money and walked in the next room I felt like a convict facing the hangman when I saw the scissors sitting on the counter I decided that whatever doom awaited me it would grow out in inthe inthe inthe the next two months My beautician beautician beautician cian was very nice I 1 found the shampoo and head massage ve very y relaxing to my stressed out mind But then it was time to take out the scissors As I watched my h hair ir fall Jail to the ground in my mind I went r through ugh my closet deciding which outfits would coordinate best with brown paper bags since I would have no other choice but to wear one for the next while I must have blanked out because the only thing I 1 can remember is staring in the mirror and actually liking the way my hair was cut It wasn't too short or cut unevenly I actually liked it Now getting my hair cut wont won't be such a traumatic ordeal I have found somewhere inexpensive and people who know what they are doing |
