Show t Golf team for looking f student participants golf team competes with two year colleges from the state Dean Cruff Gruff Managing Editor golf team is looking for a few students students stu stu- dents who would like to compete against other schools around the year two-year state It doesn't matter what your handicap is isyou r you are welcome to come try tryout out for the team Tryouts will be Oct 7 The five players with the highest scores will make the team The team will play five matches One in Salt if Lake and then they will travel to Snow CEU and Dixie f To be able to participate on the team students students students stu stu- dents must carry at least 12 credit hours The liThe reason we require students to carry 12 credit hours is because that's what they ref require require re re- re- re f quire for the basketball team and we want to model our program like theirs So if they ever make golf an intercollegiate sport there wont won't be a big transition said Craig Foreman campus recreation coordinator The team will travel together in a va van provided by the school The tryouts will take place at Bonneville golf course For anyone interested the cost will be 4 for green fees The five players who make the team will have fees waived during the tournaments against other school Forman said II Its Its It's a chance to compete and play against very good golfers Because golf is not an intercollegiate sport a student can play on the team without losing eligibility You can sign up at the athletic complex north of the College Center The d deadline adline for registration is Sept 30 |
