Show Too much money means no aid tid Jennifer Fender Staff Writer can understand all the I pap paper e r w work 0 r k t that hat i is s r re required required re- re equi e- e qui red for financial aid to a point I finished filling in the completed financial aid form and I was was' tempted to dedicate it to my mother and autograph it for her since it was the closest I have ever w come to writing an raphy Finally It was in the mail I waited waited waited and waited waited only only to receive a rejection letter four months later telling me that if I had made a little less money last year I could have qualified for a grant Or OrIf Orif Orif if I could have made a little littlemore littlemore littlemore more money I could be guaranteed an easy pay-back pay loan that would not go into effect until I finished school I should not have to play games with the government especially with unfair rules I say unfair with the intent that if I do not thrust myself into the system with special needs such as a minority pregnant single mother divorced single parent poverty stricken physically challenged etc then I am obliviously not a quota Therefore I am not a priority I do not qualify be be- cause I am living with my mother who is single and trying to support four of us while I am working a five-dol- five lar-an-hour lar job Between two of us we made too much This country should give more support to those of us who want to be educated Financial aid should become not only less complicated but butmore butmore butmore more beneficial Has the government forgotten that a a middle lass class exists Either you youcan youcan youcan can or cannot afford to go to school If you want to go to school you should automatically qualify for some kind of aid That should be the only requirement requirement requirement re re- re- re for all |
